Field Hockey Edges Moravian, 1-0, in Overtime

IMMACULATA, Pa.-
Freshman Ashley O'Donnell scored the game-winning goal on a penalty stroke as Immaculata University topped Moravian 1-0 in non-conference field hockey action on Saturday at Draper Walsh Stadium. The victory marks the Mighty Macs' first win of the season.

Both team battled 70 minutes of scoreless play until O'Donnell scored at the 76:22 mark in the first overtime.

The Mighty Macs' offense registered nine shots to Moravian's five shots. Kate Crossman led the attack tallying three shots. Katie Becker and O'Donnell totaled two shots each. Moravian held a 14-13 advantage in penalty corners.

Senior goalkeeper Brittany Worthington amassed two saves in the victory, to collect the shut-out. Andrea Eck finished with six saves for the Greyhounds. 

 Immaculata (1-3) travels to Franklin and Marshall on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. contest against the Diplomats.
