IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University field hockey team will face Gwynedd-Mercy in the semifinal round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Gwynedd Valley, Pa.

Immaculata earned the fourth seed for its fourth straight appearance in the postseason with an overall record of 8-10 and 4-3 in the CSAC.  The Griffins captured the top seed with a perfect 7-0 CSAC record and 14-4 overall mark.

Immaculata and Gwynedd-Mercy last met on Friday, Oct. 28 where the Griffins edged the Mighty Macs, 4-2. Despite Immaculata's 2-1 lead at halftime, Gwynedd-Mercy rallied with three second-half goals to claim the win.

In the other CSAC semifinal match, number three seed Neumann travels to number two seed Cabrini on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start. The semifinal winners will play for the title on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the home of the higher seeded team.
