Field Hockey Tops Albright, 1-0

READING, Pa.- Immaculata's Mary Beth Plastek lifted the Mighty Macs field hockey team to a 1-0 win versus Albright in a non-league field hockey match on Tuesday night.
 
Plastek put the Mighty Macs ahead just 5:52 into the contest on a pass from freshman Ashley O'Donnell, and Immaculata was able to stave off the Lions the rest of the way.

The Mighty Macs won their third straight game, improving their overall record to 5-7 while Albright slips to an overall mark of 2-9.

Immaculata pressured on offense all evening, outshooting Albright 12-5, while both teams tallied five corners each.

Immaculata goalkeeper Natalie Slezak recorded the win making one save, and Albright keeper Marguerite DeLucas made five stops in the loss.

Immaculata returns to conference play on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Notre Dame (Md.) at 4 p.m.
