Cabrini Surges Past Women's Soccer, 3-0


RADNOR, Pa.- The Cabrini women's soccer team captured its seventh win against a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent on Wednesday afternoon, surging past Immaculata University, 3-0.

The first half remained scoreless until the 52nd minute of the contest when Alex Tralie provided the Cavaliers with a 1-0 advantage. Kara Hinkelmon doubled the lead 15 minutes later followed by Cabrini's final score in the 77th minute from Sammy Thompson.

Cabrini (9-4-2, 7-1-1) out-shot the Mighty Macs, 11-1, for the match. Kim Steinke recorded the lone shot on goal.

Cabrini goalkeeper Maddy Edwards recorded one save for the shutout.

Freshman goalkeeper Meghan McCurnin totaled two saves in the loss for the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata (5-7-2, 4-4-2 CSAC) concludes its CSAC regular season schedule on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Cedar Crest. Match time against the Falcons is set for 2 p.m.
