HACKETTSTOWN, NJ- Immaculata's women's soccer squad was unable to overcome two first-half goals, as the Mighty Macs fell to the Cyclones of Centenary, 3-0, on Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
Immaculata slips to 5-4-2 overall and 4-2-2 in the CSAC while Centenary improved to 7-3-1 overall, 5-0-1 in the league.
The Cyclones took a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick from Laura Potter eight minutes in to the game followed by an unassisted tally ten minutes before the end of the first half as Centenary held a 2-0 advantage at intermission.
Courtney Flanagan iced Centenary's victory by blasting off a pass from 20 yards out at the 64:51 mark.
Erin Lewis led the Immaculata offense, taking four shots while
Zena Tracey totaled two shots. Immaculata goalkeeper
Meghan McCurnin made four stops in the loss.
Centenary outshot Immaculata, 16-6, and held a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Immaculata is back in action on Thursday, Oct. 13 hosting Ursinus at 7 p.m.
