SCRANTON, Pa.- After a scoreless first half Immaculata scored twice late in the second half to pick up the 2-0 shutout on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference field hockey action.
Mary Beth Plastek put the Mighty Macs ahead 1-0 when she drilled home a shot from freshman Ashley O'Donnell.
Katie Becker ended the shutout by scoring five minutes later on a pass from Plastek to claim the 2-0 victory over the Pacers.
Immaculata out-shot the hosts 13-6 on the day as goalkeeper
Natalie Slezak made two stops to preserve the win. Marywood goalie Jamie Bowman made nine save in the loss.
Immaculata (4-7, 2-2 CSAC) returns to action Tuesday on the road at Albright for a 7 p.m. start against the Lions.
