Women's Soccer Drops First CSAC Game To Centenary

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- The Immaculata University women's soccer team lost its first Colonial States Athletic Conference match of the season to visiting Centenary College on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium by a 3-0 final.

The Mighty Macs move to 3-5-1 overall and 2-1 in the CSAC. The Lady Cyclones improved to 2-0 in the conference with the victory and 5-5 overall.

The Mighty Macs trailed just 1-0 at halftime, but were unable to amount the tying goal before the Lady Cyclones put the game out of reach with a pair of goals during the final 15 minutes of the second half.

Jazmine Farrell led the way for Centenary as she scored the first two goals of the game, and assisted on the third tally. Centenary goalie Ashley Denti saved six shots.

Immaculata goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo made three saves in the effort.

Centenary held just a two-shot advantage for the contest, 14-12.

The Mighty Macs' next game will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 29, as they travel to the College of Notre Dame.
