Women's Soccer Shuts Out Penn State Harrisburg, 4-0

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Immaculata University's women's soccer team exploded for four goals as it shutout Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday afternoon, 3-0, in a non-league match at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Bridget Cunningham scored twice, Kim Steinke tallied one goal and one assist and Stefanie Karmondy added the Mighty Macs other score in the victory.

Cunningham broke the stalemate in the 41st minute as Samantha Colosi found a wide open Cunningham in the box and she was able to beat the Lady Lions' keeper for the first tally.

Immaculata (1-4-1) went to work as soon as the whistle blew for the second half to begin as Colosi found a waiting Karmondy just 56 seconds into the period. The Mighty Macs added two more goals less than a minute apart just six minutes later, and went on to cruise to the 4-0 victory.

Immaculata goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo recorded her second shutout of the season in way of eight saves. Penn State Harrisburg goalie Brittany Adams suffered the loss after recording seven stops.

Immaculata begins Colonial States Athletic Conference play this Saturday, Sept. 18 at Keystone at 1:30 p.m.
