Field Hockey Tripped Up At Keystone, 4-3

SCRANTON, Pa. – Immaculata University fell to Keystone College, 4-3, in CSAC field hockey action as the host Giants scored with 5:27 left in the game to edge the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata slips to 4-13 overall and 4-3 in the conference with the loss, while Keystone improves to 9-6, 6-1 CSAC.

Keystone's Hope Krolewski tallied the game-winning as she scored on a pass from Katie Darling to break the 3-3 tie with just over five minute remaining in the contest.

Kelsey Drozda scored the Giants' first goal of the afternoon in the 17th minute, and Krolewski made it a 2-0 Keystone lead in the 24th minute with her first goal of the today.

Immaculata cut the margin in half (2-1) just over a minute before halftime as Kathleen Garrity found the back of the cage on a Lauren Bigos assist.

Lori-Ann Marino extended Keystone's lead to 3-1 in the 41st minute. However, the Mighty Macs scored two goals in four minutes to knot the score at 3-all less than seven minutes later. Katie Becker scored at the 42:23 mark on a feed from Mary Beth Plastek, and Garrity scored once again, this time from Kelly Kugler, at 46:23.

Immaculata concludes the regular season on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against the College of Notre Dame.
