Cabrini Pushes Past Women's Soccer

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata University women's soccer team fell in its quest to hand Colonial States Athletic Conference leader Cabrini its first conference loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, 4-1, at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Cabrini's Kara Hinkelmon scored the match's first goal in the 32nd minute, and the score would remain 1-0 in the Cavaliers' favor at intermission.

Immaculata tied the contest at 1-1 in the 58th minute has Michelle Meyer booted in Erin Lewis' corner kick.

However, the Cavaliers score the go-ahead marker less than eight minutes later as Annmarie Kolla buried the feed from Dana Drake. Cabrini added two late scores as Hinkelmon scored her second tally of the afternoon off an indirect kick that curled into the top of the net, and Morgan Hudson scored in the 87th minute.

Immaculata goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo made 10 saves, including eight in the first half. Cabrini goalie Gianna Porretta had two stops.

Cabrini (9-2, 4-0 CSAC) finished the match out-shooting Immaculata, 18-9.

Immaculata returns to the pitch on Wednesday when it hosts Philadelphia Biblical at 4 p.m.
