Field Hockey Comes Up Short Against Wilson

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Immaculata's field hockey team fell to visiting Wilson College on Saturday morning by a 2-0 margin in a non-conference contest at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Jami DeVanie scored for the Phoenix 16:17 into the contest, and the scored remained 1-0 in Wilson's favor at the break.

Wilson (7-2) came out and tacked on another goal less than three minutes into the second half, and the Phoenix were able to thwart any comeback by the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata (2-8) goalkeeper Britt Worthington made five saves, and Wilson keeper Brandy Holtzapple recorded two stops.

Wilson had a 13-5 advantage in shots and a 13-8 lead in penalty corners.

Immaculata continues its homestand on Thursday afternoon taking on DeSales at 4 p.m.
