Women's Soccer Blanks Cedar Crest On Senior Day

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Immaculata University women's soccer celebrated Senior Day on Tuesday evening by defeating Cedar Crest College, 4-0, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Immaculata improves to 7-8-1 overall and 5-4 in the conference. Cedar Crest falls to 0-13, 0-8 CSAC.

Despite taking 24 shots during the first half, Immaculata had only one shot fine the back of the net. Samantha Colosi took the pass from Julia Fabbroni in the center and fired the ball from 30 yards out to score the only goal of the first half.

The Mighty Macs continued their barrage in the second half, but were able to put up three more tallies. Bridget Cunningham scored the insurance goal in the 62nd minute, and less than a minute later Cunningham assisted on Colosi's second goal of the evening.

Elizabeth Archibald scored Immaculata's final tally has she footed the rebound from her own shot into the back of the goal in the 81st minute.

Cedar Crest had its best chance to score in the 36th minute when Maggie Mullen got around Immaculata's goalkeeper, but shot the ball just wide.

Immaculata goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo recorded her sixth shutout this season and 26th of her career. Cedar Crest goalie Daniella Mendez made 22 saves in the loss.

Immaculata plays its final non-league contest of the season on Saturday as it travels to Ursinus for a 1 p.m. start.
