MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Immaculata lost a 3-0 non-conference women's soccer game at Penn State Harrisburg Saturday afternoon.
The Mighty Macs are now 1-1 overall and Penn State Harrisburg is 2-0.
The Lady Lions' Lindsay McNeal converted a penalty kick 15:31 into the contest, and the goal proved to be the game winner. PSU Harrisburg added two more goals late in the second half as Allie Rank and Allison Collins scored just 5:11 apart to push the Lady Lions' margin to three.
Immaculata led the overall shot margin 11-9, but the Mighty Macs only managed six shots on-goal and were not able to convert. The Mighty Macs also held a slight 7-6 advantage on corner kicks.
Bridget Cunningham led the Mighty Macs with six shots in the match while
Kim Steinke and
Zena Tracey each attempted two shots.
Immaculata's
Jessica Gaburo made four saves in 90 minutes between the posts in the loss. The Lady Lions used both Anegla Gilmore and Brittany Adams in goal for 45 minutes each and both made three saves apiece.
Immaculata returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 9 welcoming Albright into Draper Walsh Stadium for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
