LA PLUME, Pa. - The Immaculata Univeristy women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 match to Keystone College Thursday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
Renae Padamonsky earned her fourth singles victory of the season, claiming her match at No. 4 singles in a tie-breaker, 0-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-5, against Julia Sherry.
Immaculata's
Kaitlyn O'Donnell almost took her match to a tie-breaker at third singles against Kimberly Berger, but Berger pulled out the win, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).
At the other singles positions,
Erika LaMarch and Felcia Thomas each dropped their matches 8-3 at No. 1 and 2, respectively.
Brittany Foster fell 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5, and
Elizabeth Strauch was defeated 6-2, 6-0 atthe sixth spot.
LaMarch and Thomas played a close match at No. 1 doubles against Shiloh Richner and Tory Girton before falling to the Giants' pair, 8-6. The Mighty Macs were swept 8-0 at the other two doubles positions.
Immaculata falls to 1-12 overall and 1-8 in the CSAC. Keystone improved to 2-8 overall and 2-6 in the league.
Immaculata plays its final non-conference match of the season Tuesday, traveling to Penn State Berks at 3:30 p.m.
