Women's Soccer Blanks Philadelphia Biblical, 3-0

LANGHORNE, Pa. - Kim Steinke scored two goals as Immaculata won its fifth game by shutout this season on Tuesday afternoon against Philadelphia Biblical, 3-0, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup.

Steinke registered her third goal of the season 16:17 into the contest, chipping in a floater that gave the Might Macs a 1-0 lead. The Crimson Eagles (2-8-1, 1-3 CSAC) kept the MIghty Macs off the scoreboard for the next 26 minutes, but Samantha Colosi found the back of the net with three minutes to play before half, helping Immaculata to a two-goal edge into the break.

Immaculata (5-4-2, 2-1-1 CSAC) put up one more score late in the second period, as Steinke tallied her second goal off the afternoon, putting the ball past the PBU goalkeeper after collecting the corner kick from Zena Tracey.

Immaculata's Jessica Gaburo recorded her sixth shutout this season, earning the win making just three saves. Philadelphia Biblical goalkeeper Kristen Lyszczasz made 13 saves in the loss.

Immaculata outshot PBU 23-5 and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Mighty Macs travel to Widener Thursday night for a 7 p.m. contest against the Pride.
