Keystone Spoils Field Hockey Senior Day, 2-1

- Keystone spoiled Immaculata's senior day as the visiting Giants stayed undefeated in Colonial States Athletic Conference field hockey play with a 2-1 win against the Mighty Macs on a cold and rainy Saturday afternoon.

The Giants' opened the scoring just 2:43 into the game as Nicole Macedonio tipped in a ball from Kellina Yarrish. Keystone would go up 2-0 in the 22nd minute when Megan Thomas sent a pass into Brackney Brotzman that Brotzman pushed in the goal.

Immaculata got on the board 25:49 into the contest as Katherine Becker scored off a feed from Lauren Bigos, making the score 2-1 at halftime.

Immaculata had chances in the second half to score, but the Keystone defense played well to not allow the tying goal.

Immaculata goalkeeper Britt Worthingon made four stops in the loss while Melinda Moore made two saves for the Giants.

Keystone outshot Immaculata 10-7, while the Mighty Macs held a 7-4 edge in penalty corners.

Immaculata falls to 3-10, 1-5 CSAC with the loss while Keystone improves to 11-2 overall, 6-0 in the league.

Immaculata travels to Rosemont on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. contest against the Ravens.
