CARLISLE, Pa. – Freshman Zena Tracey scored off a corner kick at 86:17 to give Immaculata's women's soccer team a 1-1 tie against Dickinson in double overtime on Saturday afternoon.
The Mighty Macs (0-2-1) saw its two-game skid to start the season snapped, and Dickinson moves to 1-0-2.
Goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo made eight saves for the Mighty Macs. Dickinson goalie Kailyn Hartmann was forced to only make one save.
“It was a great game under the conditions,” said IU head coach Fran Tacconelli. “Dickinson is a good team and played a good first half. We played a dominant second half and came on strong late in the contest to tie it up. Gaburo played magnificent today and came up big when it counted.”
Dickinson's tally came from Genevieve Olson on a corner kick from Courtney Anderson in the 28th minute.
Immaculata travels to DeSales on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. contest.
