DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Immaculata women's soccer team was shut out by Delaware Valley, 4-0, Saturday afternoon in the Mighty Macs final non-conference game prior to the start of league action.
Elise Dauber scored two goals to lead Delaware Valley College against Immaculata.
The Aggies (4-1) jumped out to a 1-0 halftime lead as Jessica Stahley a goal off an assist from Christine Del Turco with 8:34 to go before the break. Dauber notched an unassisted tally just 5:37 into the second stanza for the 2-0 advantage. After Dauber's milestone, Dana Gentile completed the scoring off a feed from Jackie Minnich with 3:18 remaining.
Delaware Valley held a 20-13 advantage in shots. Jessica Gaburo had seven stops for the Mighty Macs (0-4-2), while Cortney Bower recorded six saves for the Aggies.
Immaculata travels to Gwynedd-Mercy on Tuesday, Sept. 23, for a 4 p.m. match-up with the Griffins.
