Field Hockey Falls To Keystone In CSAC Quarterfinals, 2-1

LA PLUME, Pa.
- Keystone scored what later proved to be the game-winning goal just over four minutes before halftime, and made it stand as the Giants downed Immaculata, 2-1, in CSAC Tournament quarterfinal action on Saturday afternoon.

Immaculata ends the 2008 season with an overall record of 6-12 while Keystone improves to 10-7 and advances to the CSAC semifinals to face Neumann. 

Kellie Sussman put the Giants on the board at 14:06 in the first half when she took a pass from Samantha Morgan in front of the goal.  Immaculata answered back just over three minutes later when Kathleen Garrity scored unassisted to knot the score at 1-all.

Keystone would retake the lead with just over four minutes left in the first half when Lori-Ann Marino knocked in a deflection off the stick of Kellina Yarrish to give Keystone the 2-1 advantage.

Brittany Worthington made three saves in the cage for the Mighty Macs in 70 minutes of action, while Breanna Auld was forced to make one stop for the Giants.
