IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata's women's soccer team won its sixth straight game on Thursday afternoon as it defeated Philadelphia Biblical, 5-0, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action at Draper Walsh Stadium.
The Mighty Macs improve their record to 8-7-2 overall and 6-3 in the CSAC, while the Crimson Eagles' record dips to 7-12 overall and 3-7 in the league.
Immaculata's Athena Campbell scored off a cross from Kimberly Steinke just 22 seconds into the contest, and Jennifer Steinke tallied a goal at the 2:50 mark on a pass from Courtney Helm to give the Mighty Macs a 2-0 lead early.
Zena Tracey scored her ninth goal of the season 35:50 into the contest to send Immaculata into halftime with a 3-0 advantage.
Immaculata outshot Philadelphia Biblical 16-1 during the first half, and the Mighty Macs held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Brianna Piatt scored her first goal of the season on a Campbell assist at 74:37, and Chelsey Murta added a goal in the 88th minute, unassisted.
For the contest, Immaculata outshot Philadelphia Biblical, 26-1, and led in corner kicks, 8-0.
Jessica Gaburo played all 90 minutes in goals and one save. Kristen Lyszczasz started for the Crimson Eagles and lasted 77:08, allowing four goals and making 11 saves. Alyssa Beltle played the final 12:52, recording two stops and allowing the final score.
Immaculata returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1, hosting Centenary at 3 p.m.
