Box Score

BALTIMORE, Md. – Immaculata's field hockey squad won its regular-season finale on a rainy and windy Saturday afternoon, defeating the College of Notre Dame, 1-0.

The Mighty Macs finish the regular season with a 6-11 overall record and 4-5 mark in the Colonial States Athletic Conference. Notre Dame stands at 1-13 overall and 0-9 in conference play.

Immaculata's Lauren Bigos scored the only goal the Mighty Macs would need off a feed from Kathleen Garrity with 3:10 remaining in the first half.

Immaculata held an 8-0 advantage in shots at the half for the 1-0 lead. The Mighty Macs took five shots in the second half but strong play from the Gators' goalkeeper kept the margin at 1-0.

Notre Dame's keeper, Nicole McFeaters, finished the contest with seven saves, while Immaculata goalie Brittany Worthington was not tested all afternoon.

Immaculata now must wait to see if it has qualified for the CSAC Championships, which get underway with quarterfinal action on Saturday, Nov. 1.
