Field Hockey Drops 2-0 Contest To Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa.
- Immaculata was shutout by Moravian, 2-0, in non-conference field hockey action on Monday at Betty Prince Field.

Immaculata slips to 4-11 overall, and Moravian ups its mark to 6-9.

The Greyhounds would get all the offense they needed in the 25th minute when Vita Ranella knocked in a crossing pass from Maureen Helfers. Moravian would score again in the 45th minute when Jillian Pagliei netted a goal off of a centering feed from Kayla Carson.

Immaculata keeper Brittany Worthington made five saves. Moravian goalkeeper Maura Acox made six saves, including five during the final 10 minutes of the match, to preserve the shutout.

Moravian held a 13-10 advantage in shots and a 16-10 edge in penalty corners.

Immaculata plays its final home contest of the 2008 campaign on Wednesday, hosting Cedar Crest at 4 p.m.
