Women's Soccer Claims 4-0 Victory Against Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Immaculata's women's soccer team snapped a two-game skid on Saturday by downing Cedar Crest, 4-0.

 

Immaculata improves to 3-7-2 overall and evens its Colonial States Athletic Conference record to 3-3. Cedar Crest is now 0-9 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

 

Athena Campbell produced the first Immaculata goal in the 24th minute, and Campbell assisted on Zena Tracey's goal just three minutes later. The Mighty Macs led 2-0 at the break.

 

Chelsey Murta scored her first career goal at the 62:11 mark, and Megan Gallagher added her first tally of the season with four minutes to play in the contest.

 

Immaculata held a 26-1 advantage in shots, and a 10-0 lead in corner kicks.

 

Jessica Gaburo had her third shutout of the season as she was forced to make just one save.

 

The Mighty Macs return to action on Wednesday hosting Goucher at 4 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
