Immaculata University women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Cabrini College, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Monday, September 24, in Draper Walsh Stadium.
The Cavaliers jumped on the board quickly when Corinne Szymczak threaded a pass to Chrissy Regan at 1:26. It stayed 1-0 until freshman Traci Farrell tied the score with an unassisted goal at 45:53.
However, Cabrini broke the tie at 71:01 when Sabina DeGisi found the back of the net from Annmaire Kolla. They added an insurance goal at 86:04. Collette Walsh scored off an assist from DeGisi.
Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo collected 11 saves in the loss, while Cheyenne White recorded five saves.
The Cavaliers (4-4, 2-1 PAC) outshot the Mighty Macs 17-12 and held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Immaculata (6-4, 2-3 PAC) returns to action on Thursday, September 27, when they travel to face Neumann College. Kick-off is set for 4 pm.
