Immaculata University women's soccer team defeated Cedar Crest College 4-1, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday, September 22, in Draper Walsh Stadium. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Mighty Macs.
The Falcons (2-6, 0-3 PAC) did not take long to get on the board as Tatiana Ballreich scored an unassisted goal at 43:53. The Mighty Macs responded and tied the game at 1-1 when freshman Traci Farrell scored off an assist from fellow freshman Alysia Remaley at 31:44. Sophomore Ashley McMullen broke the tie, with the eventual game-winner at 9:56, when she found the back of the net off a pass from Farrell.
The Mighty Macs added an insurance goal at 56:06 when freshman Colleen Jennings scored off a breakaway. Senior Charlene Henry put the game away with a goal at 57:20 off an assist from senior Kelli Ortega.
Immaculata outshot Cedar Crest 17-3 and held an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.
The Mighty Macs (6-3, 2-2 PAC) return to action on Monday, September 24, when they host Cabrini College. Kick-off is set for 4 pm.
