Immaculata University field hockey team fell to Albright College 6-3 in non-conference action on Wednesday, September 12, in Reading, Pennsylvania.
The Mighty Macs (0-3) scored first as freshman Kathleen Garrity scored off an assist from junior Jenn Norris at 2:30 of the first half. The Lions answered with three straight goals, before freshman Lauren Bigos tallied her first goal of the evening at 27:27. Norris recorded her second assist of the game on that tally. Bigos posted her second goal of the contest at 52:36 to pull Immaculata within 5-3. But the Lions held off the Mighty Macs and collected a 6-3 victory.
Junior Bridget Dougherty amassed 16 saves, as Albright outshot Immaculata 32-4.
The Mighty Macs return to action on Saturday, September 15, when they host Eastern University. Face-off is set for 11 am.
