Immaculata University women's field hockey team fell to DeSales University 9-2, in non-conference action on Thursday, October 4, in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
The Bulldogs scored eight straight goals, before freshman Lauren Bigos connected off a penalty corner at 19:55 to put the Mighty Macs on the board. Freshman Kathleen Garrity assisted on that goal. DeSales took an 8-1 lead into intermission. Sophomore Caitlin Brennan recorded the second goal for the Mighty Macs off an assist from freshman Diana Sulecki at 53:41.
Junior goalkeeper Bridget Dougherty collected 12 saves for Immaculata.
The Mighty Macs (3-9) return to action on Satyrday, October 6, when they travel to face Gwynedd-Mercy College. Face-off is set for 12 pm.
