Mighty Macs Fall In Season Finale

Immaculata University women's soccer team dropped a 3-2 decision to Philadelphia Biblical University on Tuesday, October 23, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.  It was the season finale for the Mighty Macs.

The Crimson Eagles scored quickly as Summer Mullen scored off a corner kick at 1:44.  Rachel Kirkner pushed Philly Bible's lead to 2-0 at 9:22.  The Crimson Eagles tallied their third goal just 1:27 later, when Alexa Hays scored off an assist from Brittany Sparling at 10:49.

Freshman Colleen Jennings ended the scoreless drought for Immaculata with a tally at 34:14 off a pass from freshman Jena Murtaugh.  Jennings added her second of the game at 56:13 off an assist from Erica Lyons.

Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Gaburo collected seven saves for the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata finishes the 2007 season with a record of 9-9 overall and a mark of 3-7 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC).  With their nine victories, the Mighty Macs surpass their win total from last season (7-13).
