Immaculata University women's field hockey team fell to Wilson College 2-1, in non-conference action on Monday, October 15, in Draper Walsh Stadium.
Trailing 2-0, junior Alyssa Drescher recorded an unassisted goal at 63:03 to pull the Mighty Macs within 2-1. But the Phoenix tightened their defense down the stretch to preserve the 2-1 victory. Laura Rosenkranse scored the first goal of the contest at 13:30, while Jennifer Huseman tallied the eventual game-winner at 59:23.
Junior Bridget Dougherty registered four saves, while Nikola Grafnettervoa collected two for Wilson.
The Phoenix outshot the Mighty Macs 8-6 and held a 13-5 advantage in corners.
Immaculata (3-13) returns to action on Thursday, October 18, when they travel to face Marywood University. Face-off is set for 4 pm.
