Joe Clementi

Joe Clementi just completed his fourth season as head coach and is a one-time recipient of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Coach of the Year award in 2015.

Clementi took over duties as the Mighty Macs' head men's soccer coach for the 2014 season, and along with his coaching duties, he is the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Facilities within the Department of Athletics and Recreation.

Through four seasons Clementi holds the program record for victories with 29.  In his first season at the helm in 2014, he mentored Pat Friend and Kyle Jumalon to Honorable Mention All-CSAC accolades.

The Macs broke through in the CSAC in 2015, Clementi's second season, to help earn him CSAC Coach of the Year honors.  They went 8-10 overall, but 6-3 in the CSAC which helped the team earned the third seed and a home game in the CSAC Quarterfinals.  Friend was named First Team All-CSAC, Jumalon Second Team All-CSAC and Alec Schuler earned Honorable Mention All-CSAC.  Additionally, Alex Noel was named CSAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-CSAC.

Clementi then guided the team to the best season in program history in 2016 as they set a record with a 12-6-1 record overall and a 7-2 mark in the CSAC.  This helped the Macs earn a CSAC Semifinal home game as the number two seed.  Friend and Noel earned First Team All-CSAC, Schuler and Jumalon were named Honorable Mention All-CSAC, and Joe Lubonski and Nick Boule earned Second Team All-CSAC.

In 2017, the Mighty Macs missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker, but had several players have outstanding seasons.  Alex Noel set the program record for goals, assists, and points in a career while earning First Team All-CSAC, and Ricky Molz (Second Team All-CSAC) and Nick Boule (Honorable Mention All-CSAC) were also recognized.

Clementi's teams have been impressive off the field as well as they've earned the CSAC Team Academic Award three consecutive years from 2014-16.

Clementi joined Immaculata following three seasons as an assistant men's soccer coach at Arcadia University. He assisted the Knights' staff with practice planning, recruiting, scouting, and working with the men's soccer alumni.
 
Clementi also spent two seasons with the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association as an Olympic development program state coach. He coached and trained players focusing on technical and tactical development.
 
Clementi played collegiately at Arcadia University for four seasons and served as a three-year captain for the Knights. He was twice selected a MAC Commonwealth First Team All-Conference selection during 2009 and 2010. He was also named Arcadia University's Senior Male Athlete Most Valuable Player, which is awarded to the male athlete who has exhibited outstanding performance in his athletic career at Arcadia. He also received the MAC Commonwealth Conference Sportsmanship Award twice.
 
During his career, he led the Knights to back-to-back Commonwealth Conference Tournament appearances (2009 and 2010). He made 74 starts in 76 appearances, and ended his career having scored 18 goals and nine assists for 45 points. He paced Arcadia in scoring during both his junior and senior seasons.
 
In the classroom, Clementi was a three-time MAC Commonwealth Conference Honor Roll selection. He was also chosen to the 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN Academic All-District Team for Region 2 as a third team selection for the College Division. Clementi was also honored on the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team in 2009.

Prior to his collegiate career at Arcadia, Clementi was an all-conference player at Shawnee High School. In 2006, he helped his team to a record of 27-0-0, going undefeated and winning the NJ Group 3 State Championship.
 
Clementi is a 2011 graduate from Arcadia University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Mathematics. He went on to earn his master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration in 2013 from Concordia University – Irvine.
 
Prior to Immaculata, Clementi worked as a mathematics teacher in the Winslow Township School District.

Clementi holds a USSF National "B" license.
