Matt Ward joins the staff of head coach Hugh Donovan for his second season in 2016. He has been a successful assistant coach at the club level at PYLA in the Philadelphia area for the summers of 2009 and 2010, and he is currently an assistant for the Headstrong Lacrosse Club locally, focused mostly on running the defense.
Ward played for three different collegiate lacrosse teams, and was a very successful player. He was a member of the Robert Morris lacrosse team from 2009-2011 before joining the Mount St. Mary's team in the fall of 2011 through the spring of 2013. Â With one year remaining, he played for Cabrini in 2014 and was named First Team All-CSAC as a defenseman.
Ward graduated with a BA in Sociology from Mount St. Mary's and currently lives in Malvern.
