Hakeem Townsend joins the men's basketball staff for his third season in 2018-19.  Townsend most recently was an assistant coach at the Freire Charter School from 2011-13, and prior to that he was a student assistant at Cheyney University for the 2010-11 season.

Townsend played basketball at Cheyney University from 2008-10 where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Recreation & Leisure Management.  Prior to that, he played at Manor College from 2007-08 where he earned an Associate's of Arts degree in Liberal Arts.

Currently, Townsend works at Kids and Family, Inc.
