Chaney is a West Chester native who attended local West Chester East High School where he excelled on the basketball court. He played his college ball at the former Wesley College from 2015-2019.
After his playing career he returned to his roots, helping lead the West Chester East program to three consecutive Chesmont championships as well as a PIAA 6A District Championship.
He also held a player development role in Phoenix, Arizona where he worked under some of the best professional basketball trainers in the game training NBA players.

2023-24 will be his first season with the Immaculata men’s basketball program.
