Layne Kennedy joins the Immaculata University Field Hockey coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2024 season. Kennedy is no stranger to Immaculata, and the field hockey program having played both field hockey and lacrosse at Immaculata. She was named to the All-Atlantic East Conference First Team in field hockey in 2019 and was named Immaculata's Most Outstanding Female Senior Athlete in 2020. Kennedy completed her Immaculata field hockey career with 25 goals and 54 points.
Kennedy has previously coached field hockey at the Villa Maria Lower School, and with the Shock Field Hockey Club. She also coached lacrosse at the Ultimate Lacrosse Club.
Kennedy earned her B.A.in Elementary and Special Education from Immaculata in 2020, and her M.A. in Educational Leadership from Immaculata in 2023.
