Amber Corcoran enters her fourth season as the head coach for the Immaculata University field hockey team in 2014.

In her head coaching career at Immaculata, Corcoran is 15-39 with a 9-12 mark in CSAC play.

Most recently in 2013, Corcoran guided the Mighty Macs back to the
Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) postseason after missing out in 2012 as they compiled a record of 6-13 overall and 4-3 in CSAC play.  Immaculata earned the third seed in the postseason and lost to the eventual CSAC Champions, Gwynedd Mercy, 3-1 in the CSAC Semifinals.  For the season, junior Ashley O'Donnell was named to the First Team All-CSAC, while seniors Molly Byrne and Anna Gilbert, and sophomore Patsy Murphy all earned Second Team.  Freshman Sarah Pasternak was named Honorable Mention All-CSAC for her work in goal.

Academically, field hockey has always excelled and that was evident again in 2013.  O'Donnell was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team and 12 players were named to the CSAC All-Academic Team.  As a team, Immaculata was given the CSAC Team Academic Award for having the highest GPA amongst other conference field hockey teams, and the NFHCA recognized the Mighty Macs with the team award for having a team GPA over 3.0.

In her first season, Corcoran was named the 2011 CSAC Field Hockey Coach of the Year as she led her team to an 8-10 overall record and 4-4 mark in the CSAC. Corcoran and her squad qualified for the 2011 CSAC Championship Tournament, entering the playoffs as the fourth seed.

The 2011 season also marked a first for the Immaculata field hockey program as Ashley O’Donnell won the CSAC's Rookie of the Year award, marking the first time in the program that an IU player has received the conference's top freshman honor.

In addition, Corcoran mentored all-league players Kristen Yoder and Bridget McMenamin, who were selected to the First Team All-CSAC squad. Natalie Slezak was named Second Team All-CSAC, and Kelly Kugler captured All-CSAC Honorable Mention laurels.

In 2012, Lindsay Cras earned Second Team All-CSAC while Anna Gilbert and Ashley O’Donnell grabbed Honorable Mention accolades.  As a team, the Mighty Macs received the highest honor from the NFHCA by getting the National Academic Team Award for achieving a team GPA of higher than 3.0.

Before arriving at Immaculata, Corcoran spent two years with the Chambersburg Area Senior High School field hockey team where she worked primarily with the defensive unit and goalkeepers. She also served as a volunteer with Shippensburg Area High School’s girls’ soccer team in 2010.

Corcoran was a four-year field hockey letter winner at Lebanon Valley College from 2005 to 2008. She helped the Dutchmen earn a Commonwealth Conference Championship in 2006, and qualify for the NCAA Tournament during her four seasons, including back-to-back NCAA semifinal appearances in 2006 and 2007.

Individually, Corcoran received several accolades while at Lebanon Valley. She was a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America Third Team selection in 2008. She also earned first team NFHCA All-Region honors and appeared on the All-Commonwealth Conference First-Team in 2008. During 2007, Corcoran was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and selected second team All-Commonwealth Conference.

Corcoran earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Sociology from Lebanon Valley College in 2009.
