WHAT TO KNOW

The Immaculata University men's soccer team (0-1-0) will look to bounce back from its season-opening setback on Friday evening when the Mighty Macs travel to play Elizabethtown College.
Immaculata opened its 2026 campaign on Tuesday afternoon against Haverford College at Draper Walsh Stadium, falling to the Fords, 3-0.
Elizabethtown also enters Friday's matchup at 0-1-0 after suffering a narrow 1-0 setback at Stevenson on Tuesday night.
Since Elizabethtown's Ira Herr Field's new turf installation is not complete, the game is being played at Jane Hoover Turf Field at Elizabethtown Area High School.

SERIES HISTORY

Friday's meeting will be the sixth all-time matchup between Immaculata and Elizabethtown.
The Blue Jays hold a 4-1 advantage in the series.
The Mighty Macs' lone victory in the series came on Sept. 7, 2024, when Immaculata earned a 3-2 road victory at Elizabethtown. Michael Balestriere, Kyle Coleman, and Mathew Kirkpatrick each scored for the Mighty Macs in the victory.

LAST MEETING

The teams met again last season on Sept. 8, 2025, with Elizabethtown earning a 1-0 victory at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Elizabethtown scored the game's only goal on a penalty kick in the 40^th minute. Luca Greppellini made three saves in goal for the Mighty Macs.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES

The Mighty Macs battled throughout the contest on Tuesday, but Haverford used a strong offensive performance to secure the victory. Haverford held a 16-3 advantage in shots during the opening half before finishing the afternoon with a 31-4 edge in total shots.
Sophomore goalkeeper Luca Greppellini helped keep Immaculata within striking distance, making six saves on 10 shots on goal. Greppellini was a First Team All-Atlantic East selection and the conference's 2025 Rookie of the Year following his freshman campaign.
Freshman Milan Kosiba led the Mighty Macs with two shots in the opener.
Colin Diehl and Brady Derkosh each recorded one shot. Derkosh registered Immaculata's lone shot on goal.
Senior midfielder Michael Prall returns as the Mighty Macs' leading scorer a season ago after recording three goals and six points in 2025.
Immaculata will look for additional support from senior forward Matthew Skipper, junior forward Carlos Garcia, and junior midfielder Jameson Kennedy.

SCOUTING ELIZABETHTOWN

The Blue Jays battled to a scoreless draw through the opening 87 minutes before Stevenson broke through on a corner kick in the 88th minute.
Elizabethtown nearly answered immediately, but Evan Berlinski's attempt struck the crossbar before Caba Alvarez's follow-up was saved.
Junior goalkeeper Sam Frey made three saves in the season opener and will look to anchor an Elizabethtown defense that limited Stevenson to one goal on 12 shots.
Berlinski and Alvarez will be players to watch for the Blue Jays after each recorded two shots against Stevenson.
Elizabethtown's roster also features Gui Yamamoto, who scored the game-winning penalty kick in last year's 1-0 victory over Immaculata.

UP NEXT

Following Friday night's contest, the Mighty Macs will return home on Wednesday, Sept. 9, when they host Neumann University at Draper Walsh Stadium at 7 p.m.
