IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's volleyball got back in the win column on Tuesday evening, defeating Keystone College 3-1 at Alumnae Hall. The Mighty Macs won by set scores of 25-13, 18-25, 25-10, and 25-12.
With the victory, Immaculata improves to 3-12 on the season, while Keystone falls to 3-14.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST KEYSTONE
- Immaculata opened the match with an early 3-3 tie before a strong offensive stretch put the Mighty Macs in front. A pair of kills from Madi Kyle helped Immaculata establish a 5-4 advantage before the Mighty Macs continued to build their lead. Mel Mann recorded consecutive kills to make it 23-13, and an Antonia Antolini block closed out the opening set, 25-13.
- Keystone responded in the second set, jumping out to an early 7-1 advantage. The Mighty Macs battled back behind kills from Kyle and Vienna Mascieri, while a stretch of strong serving from Adriana Ventura helped Immaculata cut the deficit to 17-22. The Giants, however, held on to take the second set 25-18 and even the match at 1-1.
- Immaculata came out strong in the third set, racing to a 5-1 lead before extending the advantage to 10-5. The Mighty Macs continued to control the set, using a 6-0 run to take a 15-7 lead. Immaculata's offense continued to produce as the Mighty Macs closed the set on a 5-0 run to earn a convincing 25-10 victory.
- The Mighty Macs carried that momentum into the fourth set, opening with a 6-1 lead. Kyle recorded three kills during the early stretch, while Lauren Gartman added a service ace. Immaculata maintained its advantage throughout the frame, eventually taking a 21-9 lead before closing out the match with four of the final five points. Angelica Santini Bulerin delivered the last point with a kill to secure the 25-12 victory and the 3-1 match win.
