WHAT TO KNOW

• The Immaculata University men's soccer team returns to action Wednesday evening when the Mighty Macs travel to Alvernia University for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup.
• Immaculata enters Wednesday's contest at 0-4-0 after falling to Goucher, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon.
• Alvernia enters Wednesday's matchup with a 2-2-1 record following a 5-3 setback to No. 6 Dickinson on Saturday.

 
SERIES HISTORY

• Wednesday marks the 10th all-time meeting between Immaculata and Alvernia.
• The Golden Wolves hold a 7-0-2 advantage in the all-time series.

 
LAST MEETING

• Alvernia defeated Immaculata, 4-0, in the teams' most recent meeting in 2018 at Alvernia.
• Immaculata goalkeeper Garrett Pepper made 10 saves for the Mighty Macs.

 
MIGHTY MAC NOTES

• Freshman forward Milan Kosiba scored Immaculata's lone goal in Saturday's 2-1 setback at Goucher, converting a penalty kick in the first half for his first collegiate goal.
• Senior midfielder Michael Prall has also found the back of the net this season, scoring Immaculata's lone goal in the 6-1 setback against Neumann. Prall led the Mighty Macs with three goals and six points during the 2025 season.
• Freshman forward Brady Derkosh scored his first collegiate goal in the 4-1 loss at Elizabethtown on September 4.
• Kosiba leads the Mighty Macs with nine shots through the first four matches, while Prall has added six shots. Kosiba and Prall each have one goal on the season.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Matteo Paolillo made five saves against Goucher and has started the last two matches. Luca Greppellini made seven saves against Elizabethtown and seven more against Haverford earlier in the season.
• Immaculata has generated 33 shots through its first four games, including 19 shots over the last two contests against Neumann and Goucher.
• Wednesday begins a challenging road stretch for the Mighty Macs, who will play three consecutive games away from Draper Walsh Stadium.

 
SCOUTING ALVERNIA

• The Golden Wolves have scored 12 goals through five games while allowing 11. Alvernia is averaging 2.40 goals and 13.0 shots per game.
• Alvernia has shown an ability to generate offense early in matches. Against Penn State Harrisburg, Joseph Washington scored in the fourth minute before Josh Ertel doubled the lead in the 24th minute.
• Sophomore forward Josh Ertel has been one of the Golden Wolves' most productive attackers early in 2026. Ertel leads Alvernia with three goals and six points through five games
• Sophomore forward Chase Malone has also scored three times this season and has recorded six points. Malone scored twice in Alvernia's 3-0 win over Lancaster Bible and added another goal against No. 6 Dickinson on Saturday.
• The Golden Wolves have also received strong production from their goalkeeper tandem. Andrew Etkin started four matches and recorded 14 saves, while Michael Griffith III appeared in two matches and has one shutout.

 
LOOKING AHEAD
Following Wednesday's contest, Immaculata remains on the road when the Mighty Macs travel to Susquehanna University on Saturday, September 19 for a 1 p.m. non-conference matchup. Immaculata returns to Draper Walsh Stadium on Friday, September 25, to host Pitt-Greensburg at 4 p.m.
