IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata battled throughout the afternoon and carried a late lead, but a ninth-inning comeback by Centenary led to an 11–9 loss in 11 innings on Friday at IU Baseball Stadium.
Hunter Weitzel and
Nick Turnage powered the offense, each going 3-for-5 with three RBIs, while
Alex LePage delivered a solid start, pitching into the ninth inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CENTENARY
- Immaculata wasted no time getting on the board, plating three runs in the opening frame. Matt Passerini reached to start the rally before Hunter Weitzel delivered an RBI single, and Nick Turnage followed with a run-scoring knock to cap the early surge and give Immaculata a 3–0 edge.
- Centenary answered with four runs in the second to briefly take the lead.
- Immaculata responded right back in the third. Turnage came through again with an RBI single to even the score at 4–4.
- The Mighty Macs regained control in the sixth. Josh Goulburn drove in a run with a single, while Weitzel added a two-RBI hit to extend the advantage to 7–4. Immaculata added another insurance run in the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Danny Nocito, pushing the lead to 8–4 and putting the Macs in position to close out the game.
- Centenary, however, mounted a late comeback in the ninth, capitalizing on baserunners before tying the game on a two-out grand slam to take a 9-8 lead.
- Immaculata answered in the bottom of the ninth, as Turnage delivered once more with an RBI single to send the game to extra innings.
- The momentum shifted again in extra innings, as Centenary pushed across two runs in the 11th to regain the lead. Immaculata threatened in its final at-bat, putting the tying run aboard, but was unable to complete the comeback.
