HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CAIRN
- The Mighty Macs set the tone early and never looked back. After a quiet first inning, Immaculata erupted for five runs in the second, capitalizing on patience at the plate and Cairn miscues. The Macs drew multiple walks in the frame and pushed runs across on a sacrifice fly, aggressive baserunning, and timely situational hitting to grab a 5–0 lead.
- Immaculata continued to apply pressure in the third, adding three more runs on key RBI knocks from Nick Turnage and Joey Mozzone, along with a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch. By the end of three innings, the Macs had built an 8–0 advantage.
- On the mound, Lepage was in control from the outset. The right-hander tossed five shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out seven without issuing a walk. He kept Cairn off balance all afternoon and earned his second win of the season.
- The offense stayed hot in the middle innings. Turnage delivered again with an RBI single in the fourth, and the Macs added insurance in the fifth on an RBI double from Robert Woodward. Immaculata's disciplined approach resulted in 11 walks on the day, consistently creating scoring opportunities.
- Cairn mounted a brief rally in the sixth, scoring four runs, but the Macs responded immediately. Hunter Weitzel drove in two runs in the bottom half of the inning, and a sacrifice fly by Luke Baumann in the seventh capped the scoring at 14–4.
