Women's Flag Football Sweeps Season Ending Tri-Match, Secures Third Seed in AEC Playoffs

PHILADELPHIA- The Immaculata women's flag football team concluded its 2026 regular season dominantly, sweeping its AEC tri-match, defeating the host Chestnut Hill 32-6, and Neumann 23-0 on Saturday.

With the wins, Immaculata finishes the regular season 14-3, and they are 13-3 in Atlantic East Conference play. Immaculata earns the third seed in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament and will host the number six seed Penn State Schuylkill in their AEC Tournament First Round game at Draper Walsh Stadium on Tuesday, April 21. The winners for First Round games will advance to the semifinals, hosted by the number one seed Easter University on Saturday, April 25. Eastern will host the two semifinals and the championship game on the 25.

Game One: Immaculata 32, Chestnut Hill 6

Immaculata set the tone early and never looked back, building a 26–0 halftime lead behind efficient quarterback plays and a defense that consistently flipped the field.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CHESTNUT HILL
  • Quarterback Devan Cosgrove orchestrated the offense with poise, completing 7-of-13 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns while adding a rushing score. Cosgrove connected with Tiara Lawler and Eliana Szatkowski for first-half touchdowns as the Mighty Macs capitalized on strong field position.
  • The turning point came early in the second quarter when Theresa Jappah intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown, extending the lead to three possessions and shifting all momentum to Immaculata.
  • Szatkowski added an 18-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter to push the lead to 32–0 before Chestnut Hill broke through late.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • The Immaculata defense delivered a standout performance: Forced 4 interceptions; Held Chestnut Hill to just 8 rushing yards; Recorded a defensive touchdown and multiple drive-ending plays.
  • Jappah led the unit with an interception and eight tackles. She recorded her 100th career tackle in the game.
  • Jaclyn Molinini added seven tackles and a tackle for loss.
  • Szatkowski: 4 catches, 44 yards, TD, 18-yard rushing TD, two interceptions on defense.
  • Natalie Dodd had three tackles and an interception, and Taylor Eagan added an interception.
 
Game Two: Immaculata 23, Neumann 0
 
Immaculata followed up with a shutout performance fueled by one of the most dominant defensive efforts in recent program history.
 
The Mighty Macs held Neumann to just 19 total yards and forced five interceptions, completely disrupting any offensive rhythm.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED VS NEUMANN
  • Cosgrove again led the offense efficiently, throwing for 77 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by a 10-yard scoring pass to Molinini in the third quarter.
  • Immaculata opened the scoring on a one-yard touchdown run by Tiara Lawler.
  • The Immaculata defense was the benefactor of a safety when Neumann's punt snap went over the punter's head out of bounds to extend the lead to 0 8-0.
  • In the second quarter, Immaculata got a second safety on a seven-yard loss for Neumann to extend the lead to 10-0.
  • Molinini made her presence felt on defense, intercepting a pass and returning it 14 yards for a touchdown to extend the lead.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Defensively, Khaliyah Gaines anchored the front with three sacks for 22 yards, while the secondary accounted for five interceptions and 35 return yards.
  • Eliana Szatkowski had three interceptions.
  • Jaclyn Molinini has two interceptions.
