GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- The Immaculata softball team combined timely hitting with resilient pitching to earn a pair of victories over Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday afternoon, claiming an 11-10 extra-inning thriller in game one before completing the sweep with a 12-3 win in game two.

With the sweep, Immaculata improves to 10-13 overall and 4-6 in Atlantic East Conference play.

Immaculata showed its resolve in the opener, rallying multiple times and pushing across the go-ahead run in the eighth to secure the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GWYNEDD MERCY IN GAME ONE
- After Gwynedd Mercy jumped out to an early lead, the Mighty Macs responded with a four-run fourth inning, highlighted by RBI hits from Alexis Andrada, Jamie Green, and Naila Valdez to take a 5-3 advantage.
- The Griffins answered back in the bottom half and later erased a late deficit with a four-run seventh to tie the game at 10-10.
- In the eighth, Immaculata regained control as Emily Davis led off with a single before Madison Formica reached on a fielder's choice. Carlee Karcher then delivered the decisive blow, lining an RBI single to center to plate Formica and give Immaculata the lead for good.
- Nadia Bhuiyan (3-2) was outstanding in relief, tossing 4.2 innings while allowing just one earned run to earn the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST GWYNEDD MERCY IN GAME TWO
- Immaculata plated two runs in the first before breaking the game open with a five-run second inning. Alexis Andrada delivered a key two-run double in the frame, while the lineup continued to apply pressure throughout the contest.
- Madison Formica led the offensive surge with a perfect 4-for-4 performance, scoring three times and driving in two runs. Andrada added three hits and four RBI, finishing just a home run shy of the cycle, while Emily Davis and Rylee Martin each contributed multi-hit efforts.
- In the circle, Jessica Vido (3-5) earned the complete-game victory, allowing three runs (two earned) over six innings while scattering 10 hits.
