WHAT TO KNOW
  • Immaculata (1-3, 0-0 AEC) returns to the court in Myrtle Beach, S.C. to start their spring schedule. They played four matches in the fall, with their last one being on Oct. 18 at Penn State Abington. The Nittany Lions won a close match 4-3.
  • The Brevard College Tornadoes (0-3, 0-0 USA South) fell to Piedmont on Feb. 27, 7-0, in their spring opener.
  • The Franciscan University of Steubenville Barons (1-5, 0-0 PAC) were also on the wrong end of a sweep on Feb. 28, but their match was against Baldwin Wallace.
  • The Penn State Behrend Nittany Lions (2-3, 0-0 AMCC) last saw competition on Feb. 13, where they lost 5-2 to West Liberty.
LAST MEETING
  • Immaculata has never played Brevard, Franciscan, or Penn State Behrend before in men's tennis.

WHAT TO KNOW
  • Immaculata (4-1, 0-0 AEC) came away with a 5-2 win over Penn State Abington in their Oct. 18 match. The women's team played five fall matches.
  • The Ohio Wesleyan University Battling Bishops (3-2, 0-2 NCAC) are looking to bounce back after a 7-0 sweep at the hands of Denison on Feb. 21.
  • The Franciscan University of Steubenville Barons (9-4, 6-2 PAC) are on a two-match skid after winning four straight. They fell 6-1 against The College of Wooster on Feb. 14.
  • The Penn State Behrend Nittany Lions (9-1, 5-0 AMCC) defeated Penn State Altoona 4-1 on Oct. 19.
LAST MEETING
  • The Mighty Macs have only seen the Battling Bishops once previously on March 7, 2022. It was a 6-1 final for Ohio Wesleyan, but Jenna Muttik picked up the lone Immaculata win in #6 singles.
  • Immaculata has never played Franciscan or Penn State Behrend before in women's tennis.
MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • Delaney Brown and Hailey Elwell took a 6-2 doubles win over Penn State Abington.
  • Elizabeth Madsen and Laura Pharo won 6-1 in doubles.
  • The singles winners were Brown (6-0, 6-1), Elwell (6-3, 6-3), Madsen (6-4, 6-2), and Pharo (6-2, 6-1).
  • Pharo is 4-1 in singles this season, while Elwell and Madsen are tied at 3-2 each.
  • Brown is 2-1 in doubles. Elwell is 3-2.

The Mighty Macs commence conference play on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. They will be on the road to take on the Marymount University Saints.
