HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.- The Immaculata University women's flag football team delivered an impressive all-around performance on Tuesday afternoon, sweeping an Atlantic East Conference tri-match with decisive victories over Penn State Schuylkill and Centenary Cyclones.

Immaculata opened the day with a 33-6 win over Penn State Schuylkill before closing the tri-match with a dominant 44-0 shutout of the host Centenary.

Quarterback
Devan Cosgrove led the charge offensively, combining to go 29-of-37 for 318 yards and 10 touchdown passes across the two games. Defensively,
Theresa Jappah anchored the effort with 15 tackles, four pass breakups, and two interceptions, including a 75-yard pick-six.

With the sweep, Immaculata improves to 8-2 overall and 7-2 in Atlantic East Conference play. Penn State Schuylkill drops to 1-6 overall (1-6 AEC), while Centenary falls to 2-7 (2-7 AEC)..

Immaculata set the tone early and never looked back, using a balanced offensive attack and opportunistic defense to secure the 27-point victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST PENN STATE SCHUYLKILL
- Immaculata opened the scoring at the 10:10 mark of the first quarter when Devan Cosgrove hit Eliana Szatkowski for a 35-yard touchdown pass. The defense set the tone, limiting Penn State Schuylkill's offensive opportunities in the opening quarter as Immaculata led 6-0.             Â
- The Mighty Macs extended their lead with a pair of scoring drives, including a touchdown connection from Devan Cosgrove to Eliana Szatkowski and a late scoring drive capped by a Cosgrove touchdown pass to Jaclyn Molinini. The defense continued to control the game, keeping Penn State off the scoreboard heading into halftime, leading 19-0.
- Immaculata capitalized on a key turnover early in the half, converting it into a touchdown pass from Cosgrove to Natalie Dodd. Penn State Schuylkill answered with its lone score of the game, but the Mighty Macs quickly responded to maintain a comfortable advantage.
- The Mighty Macs closed out the game with a rushing touchdown from Tiara Lawler, while the defense held firm to secure the 33-6 victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Quarterback Devan Cosgrove led the charge, completing 17-of-21 passes for 183 yards and four touchdowns. Cosgrove spread the ball effectively, connecting with multiple receivers throughout the contest.
- Eliana Szatkowski paced the receiving corps with six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while Jaclyn Molinini added a touchdown reception. Natalie Dodd also hauled in a scoring grab as part of Immaculata's four passing touchdowns.
- On the ground, Tiara Lawler led the way with 32 rushing yards and a touchdown, helping the Mighty Macs with a total of 88 rushing yards as a team.
- Defensively, Immaculata made key plays to halt Penn State Schuylkill drives. Szatkowski recorded an interception, while Lawler contributed two sacks as part of a strong defensive effort that limited the Nittany Lions to just six points.

Game Two: Immaculata 44, Centenary 0

The Mighty Macs continued their momentum in the nightcap, turning in a complete performance on both sides of the ball in a 44-0 shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CENTENARY
- After a stop in Centenary's opening possession, Natalie Dodd had a 16-yard punt return to give Immaculata possession at the Centenary 21-yard line. Cosgrove hit Jaclyn Molinini with a six-yard touchdown strike to give Immaculata an early 7-0 lead. Cosgrove later hit Taylor Eagan with a touchdown pass as Immaculata led 13-0 heading into the second quarter. The defense continued to dictate play, forcing another turnover that led to a second quick touchdown drive.
- The Mighty Macs extended their advantage in the second period with a balanced offensive attack and continued defensive dominance. Cosgrove found Eliana Szatkowski for a short touchdown early in the quarter to push the lead to three points. Later in the half, Immaculata capitalized on another takeaway, turning it into points in the closing seconds as Cosgrove again connected with Szatkowski for a touchdown as time expired. The Mighty Macs carried a commanding 25–0 lead into halftime.
- Immaculata remained in control coming out of the break. After a series of defensive stops, the offense struck quickly when Cosgrove hit Samantha Rivera on a 28-yard touchdown pass, extending the lead to 31–0. The Immaculata defense continued to frustrate Centenary, limiting opportunities and forcing negative plays to maintain momentum heading into the final quarter.
- The defense delivered the exclamation point early in the fourth. Theresa Jappah intercepted a pass deep in Immaculata territory and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown as Immaculata closed out the victory 44-0.

The Immaculata women's flag football team will be back in action on Thursday, April 2, when they travel to Schuylkill Haven, Pa., for another Atlantic East Conference Tri-Match with the same two teams. Immaculata will play Centenary at 7:30 p.m., and will play the host Penn State Schuylkill at 9 p.m.
