NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Immaculata closed out play at the Fast Pitch Dreams Spring Classic on Friday with a pair of victories, defeating Lycoming, 5-2, before defeating Thiel, 11-3, in five innings. The Mighty Macs finished the week with a 4-4 record during the tournament.
Game 1: Immaculata 5, Lycoming 2
Immaculata used a strong second inning and solid pitching to secure a 5-2 victory over Lycoming in the morning matchup.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST LYCOMING
- After a scoreless opening frame, the Mighty Macs struck in the top of the second. Carlee Karcher started the rally with a single before Alexis Andrada delivered an RBI triple to left center to open the scoring. Kate Daly followed with an RBI single to bring home Andrada, and Emma Pinto capped the inning with another triple to extend the lead to 3-0.
- Lycoming cut into the deficit in the fourth, scoring on a sacrifice fly.
- The Mighty Macs added two more runs in the fifth. Casey Pasco delivered an RBI single to score Natalia Donofrio, and Immaculata plated another run on a Lycoming error to push the advantage to 5-1.
- Lycoming added a run in the sixth, but the Immaculata pitching staff held firm down the stretch.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Sara Pierson earned the win after allowing two runs on five hits over 5.1 innings while striking out two.
- Nadia Bhuiyan recorded the final five outs to earn the save.
- Andrada led the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, including a triple and an RBI.
- Naila Valdez added two hits, while Daly, Pinto, and Pasco each drove in a run.
Game 2: Immaculata 11, Thiel 3 (5 innings)
The Mighty Mac offense erupted early in the second game, scoring 10 runs in the first two innings en route to an 11-3 victory over Thiel.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST THIEL
- Immaculata struck first in the opening inning. Natalia Donofrio reached on a bunt single and later scored on an RBI single by Jamie Green. Casey Pasco followed with an RBI single before Carlee Karcher drove in a run with a groundout to give Immaculata a 3-0 lead.
- Thiel answered with a run in the top of the second inning.
- The Mighty Macs responded with a seven-run inning to break the game open. Donofrio and Madison Formica each recorded RBI singles before Green cleared the bases with a three-run triple. Pasco added another RBI single, and Rylee Martin capped the inning with a two-run triple to extend the lead to 10-1.
- Thiel scored two runs in the top of the fifth to close the score to 10-3 and extend the game.
- Immaculata walked it off in the bottom of the fifth inning, when Carmalina Gigante doubled to right center to score Donofrio with the game-ending run, giving Immaculata the 11-3 win in five innings.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Aubrey Seider earned the win in the circle, allowing one unearned run over three innings while striking out two.
- Jessica Vido pitched the final two innings in relief.
- Donofrio led the offense with three hits and three runs scored.
- Green finished with four RBI.
- Pasco added two hits and two RBI as part of a 12-hit effort for Immaculata.

The Immaculata softball team will be back on the road on Tuesday, March 17, when they will travel to Galloway, N.J., to play Stockton University in a doubleheader at 2:30 p.m.
