HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST ELIZABETHTOWN
  • Right after grabbing the opening draw control, Elizabeth Mahmud cashed in for the game's first score. Elizabethtown tied the game moments later. Abigail Guarneri made 11 saves in the quarter, which kept the Mighty Macs close with the Blue Jays. The visitors put two more scores on the board before the quarter expired. Guarneri snagged four saves after the third Elizabethtown goal. The visitors led 3-1.
  • Despite a 4-0 push at the start of the second quarter, Immaculata halted the run with another Mahmud missile. Guarneri saved a free-position shot within the final 30 seconds, but the Blue Jays bounced back with a goal seconds after. It was 8-2 at halftime.
  • Riley Mullen and Brooke Kakowski forced defensive turnovers early in the third quarter. However, Elizabethtown went on a 7-0 quarter run to pull away for good. The Blue Jays led 15-2 after three.
  • With 15 minutes to go, Claire Dunfee subbed in at goal for Guarneri. Dunfee would immediately cause a defensive turnover, and Immaculata logged a successful clear. Before the Mighty Macs' drive continued, though, the game was called at 14:13 remaining due to lightning. The Blue Jays were declared the winners 15-2.
