BROOKLYN, NY – The Immaculata University women's basketball team (22–3, 14–0 Atlantic East) finished the regular season strong with an 89–30 victory over Pratt Institute (1–21, 0–14 Atlantic East) on Saturday afternoon at the Pratt Institute ARC.
Carly Coleman led the way with her second triple-double of the season, recording 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Abby Grillo added 12 points and four steals, while
Julia Pohl posted her second double-double of the year with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Riley Cassidy scored eight points,
Keira Benoit and
Lianna Adames contributed seven points each, and
Morgan Robinson finished with six points and 11 rebounds.
The Mighty Macs shot 45% from the field, 50% from three-point range, and 77% from the free-throw line, while the bench provided 46 points. Immaculata also out-rebounded Pratt 62–38 and scored 30 points off turnovers, asserting control throughout the contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST PRATT
- Immaculata came out firing, setting the tone with suffocating defense and aggressive rebounding. The team forced multiple turnovers, converting them into fast-break points, and jumped out to a commanding 25-point lead. Carly Coleman and Julia Pohl dominated the boards early, while the perimeter attack hit 3-of-4 from three. Pratt struggled offensively, scoring just five points.
- Pratt found a small rhythm, matching Immaculata point-for-point. However, the Mighty Macs' depth allowed them to maintain control. Bench players Keira Benoit and Lianna Adames contributed scoring, and Immaculata continued to dominate the boards while forcing several turnovers.
- Immaculata came out of halftime energized, extending their lead with a balanced mix of inside and outside scoring. Carly Coleman controlled the floor with her playmaking, while Julia Pohl and Morgan Robinson cleaned the glass. Pratt was limited to low-percentage shots and struggled to penetrate the paint, putting the game effectively out of reach.
- The Mighty Macs closed the game strongly, allowing Pratt just one point in the final quarter. Immaculata's defense remained relentless, generating turnovers and transition opportunities. Bench contributions continued to shine. The quarter highlighted Immaculata's ability to maintain intensity through the final buzzer.
