MORRISTOWN, N.J.- Five players scored in double figures as Immaculata defeated Saint Elizabeth 71–56 on the road Wednesday night in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
Carly Coleman recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 17 points and 17 rebounds, while
Meg Robbins scored a career-high 14 points and
Abby Grillo added 12 to lead the Mighty Macs.
With the victory, Immaculata improves to 11–3 overall and 3–0 in Atlantic East Conference play. Saint Elizabeth falls to 6–8 overall and 0–3 in conference action.

"We had a slow start to the second half but were able to battle through some adversity and secure a win on the road," said head coach
Brittany Whalen. "Our players did a great job working the inside-out game against their zone, which really helped us offensively."
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SAINT ELIZABETH
- Abby Grillo opened the scoring with a layup at the 9:06 mark of the first quarter.
- Saint Elizabeth responded to tie the game at 8–8 midway through the period, but Meg Robbins hit a jumper in the paint to regain the lead as Immaculata took an 18–14 advantage after one quarter.
- The Mighty Macs dominated the second quarter, opening on a 12–0 run fueled by Carly Coleman, Robbins, and Riley Cassidy to extend the lead to 30–14.
- Late in the second quarter, Grillo knocked down a three-pointer and Sabrina Little beat the buzzer with a driving layup to give Immaculata a commanding 44–24 lead at halftime.
- Saint Elizabeth mounted a push early in the third quarter, capitalizing on a slow Immaculata start to cut the deficit to 48–37 with 2:23 remaining.
- Immaculata answered with back-to-back jumpers from Little and Cassidy, followed by two free throws from Coleman, taking a 54–37 lead into the fourth quarter.
- Grillo scored five points in the final period, while Cassidy and Robbins each added four, as Immaculata closed out the 71–56 victory.
