Field Hockey Downs King's 5-0 in Home Opener

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team defeated King's College 5-0 in their 2025 home opener. Alexis Andrada scored two goals, and Maria Freeman had a goal and an assist to lead the Mighty Macs.
 
With the win Immaculata improves to 2-2, and with their loss King's falls to 1-2 for the season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED VS KINGS
  • Alexis Andrada opened the scoring in the game's fifth minute with her fourth goal of the season to give Immaculata a 1-0 lead.
  • Abby Fekete scored her first goal of the season in the seventh minute to extend Immaculata's lead to 2-0.
  • In the second quarter, King's was awarded a penalty stroke in the 21st minute. Immaculata goalkeeper Ella Miller stopped King's Davina Krappa's shot as Immaculata led 2-0 at halftime.
  • Maria Freeman scored her first goal of the season to increase the Immaculata lead to 3-0.
  • Alexis Andrada increased the Immaculata lead to 4-0 with her fifth goal of the season, assisted by Morgan Barnes.
  • Samari Rodriguez scored her first goal of the season in 56th minute, assisted by Maria Freeman to make the score 5-0.
