Men's and Women's Tennis Open Fall Schedule at Cairn on Saturday

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata men's and women's tennis teams open their fall 2025 slate of matches traveling to play at Cairn University on Saturday.
  • The Immaculata women's tennis team will play four matches this fall, while the men's team is scheduled to play three matches.
  • This is the second match of the season for the Cairn men's and women's teams as both lost their first match to Rutgers-Camden on Friday afternoon.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • The Immaculata women's tennis team and Cairn are meeting for the 12th time in their series that began in 2007. Immaculata is 9-2 all-time vs Cairn.
  • The Immaculata men's tennis team and Cairn are meeting for the first time.
 
LAST MEETING
  • Immaculata defeated Cairn 8-0 in their last meeting on March 27, 2018.
  • Immaculata Head Coach Susan Callahan was playing for Immaculata in that match, won her doubles match 8-1, and won her singles match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 for the Mighty Macs.
 
MIGHTY MAC WOMEN'S NOTES
  • Senior Delaney Brown will play both singles and doubles for Immaculata in the number one spot this season. Brown was All-Atlantic East Conference Second Team in doubles in 2025. She was first team All-Atlantic East Conference in doubles in 2024 and was the 2023 AEC Rookie of the year.
  • Hailey Elwell returns for her second season with the Mighty Macs. She was 7-4 overall in singles and was 5-4 overall in doubles last season. Elwell was named to the AEC Weekly Honor Roll on March 31.
  • Sophomores Elizabeth Madsen, Laura Pharo, and senior Athena Kritikson will be in action for the Mighty Macs on Saturday.
 
MIGHTY MAC MEN'S NOTES
  • Junior Nicholas Brown returns for the Mighty Macs after being named to the All-Atlantic East Conference Second Team in singles, and the All-Atlantic East Conference Second Team in Doubles with his partner in 2025. Brown was 4-4 overall in his singles matches in 2024-25.
  • Junior Mike DeMattei returns for Immaculata. DeMattei will play both singles and doubles for Immaculata.
  • Sophomore Pat Arnold is back to play the fall schedule for Immaculata. He is a member of the IU baseball team in the spring. Arnold was 2-1 in his singles matches and was named AEC Men's Player of the Week on September 30.
  • Freshmen Easton Ragno and Dalton Spencer will make their collegiate debuts on Saturday.

  • The Immaculata women's tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, September 27, when they host Kean at the IU Tennis Courts at 12 p.m.
  • The Immaculata men's tennis team will be back in action on Friday, October 10, when they host Ursinus at the IU Tennis Courts at 12 p.m.
